Do you want to immigrate to Canada? Would you like to apply for Express Entry (PR)? I will tell you how you can do it.
First, what you need to know is that every country has different policy. It doesn’t meter if you are applying to Australia, Canada or New Zealand but every country has the same 4 tings. You need to fulfil Age, Education, Language and Work experience. Now we will look at Canada. Canada is little bit different than Australia or New Zealand when you are applying for express entry. First, what you need to check is if you are eligible to apply for express entry. You need to have at least 67 point to be eligible to apply for express entry. The good news is that Canada has the age until 35 where you will get the most point, then you need to have some language test (we were doing Ielts) and last you need to have some education. So, when you have all these three things then you can check if you are eligible to apply for Express entry. When you do Ielts the good news in Canada is that you will have points for every category separately. So, that means that you will get separate points for writing, reading, listening and speaking not like in New Zealand when you will get point for your overall score. With education is a bit different and you need to do an assessment if your education is similar what they have in Canada. You need to do this assessment before you will check if you are eligible for express entry because if you don’t do it the immigration will tell you that you are not eligible. We chose WES because they could deliver our assessment in 35 business days and the price was around 200$. In other agencies it was longer than those 35 days. We didn’t have any bad experience with WES so I recommend the agency.. Only thing is that all the documents like Diploma and transcript(you need only copy) needs to be send in seal envelope from your school, that doesn’t mean that the school needs to send it, you just need envelope from your school and you can send it by yourself. Special category is also work experience and how to count the point. If you have separate work experience you need to check here if your work experience is in category 0, A or B. If your work experience is in category C or D you wont get any point for your work experience. So, when you have language done, you have your education assessment done and you are under 35 then you can check if you are eligible to apply for express entry here. It is also different if you are applying by yourself or with your spouse. I was applying with my girlfriend and she was the main one and I was the spouse because she had enough work experience in accounting, her Ielts was much better than mine and she has brother who has already PR in Canada because you will get 15 points for that. So, if you are applying with your spouse you will get extra point for his language, education and if she/he has Canadian Education you will get extra point for that. You won’t get any point for his/her work experience. So, when the immigration will tell you that you are eligible to apply, then you will get different points called Comprehensive Ranking System and those points are the main point to apply for express entry. You can check your point here. My girlfriend and I we score 458 points in this CRS but in March 2020 the minimum points to apply for express entry was 467 points. What we could do to increase our points is to have better score in her and my language test, or we could go to Canada on student visa and study some diploma for one year when you will get extra point for Canadian Education and Canadian work experience. I hope this will help you when you will be applying for express entry.
